Available Positions
Husky Care Specialist
SALARY / COMPENSATION: DOE
Our Animal Care Specialist will be our point person for the activities and general care of our Siberian Huskies, as well as coordinating volunteers and overseeing delegated tasks. There is a lot of independence required in this role, so entrepreneurial inspiration/self direction is a must, and team management experience is key. You will collaborate with our founder to create a mutually beneficial way to structure the position in alignment with mutual schedules.
Skills and applications may include: purchases, delivery, and receipts for food and supplies, food prep, feeding, animal washing and basic grooming, general space cleaning, poop cleaning, refreshing supplies and environment, walks, scheduling, watching over and providing loving attention and interactive day care. Requirements may include managing an ongoing flexible schedule, phone and email communications, scheduling with volunteers or help as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience with and love of Siberian Huskies and animal care
Organized, forward-planning, self-directed, team player, detail oriented, good communication, punctual, flexible, and professional in fulfilling changing needs of the role
Progressive values preferred, comfortable and engaging social demeanor, and strong EQ
Project and team management experience a plus
COMPENSATION: THERA-HUSKY SERIES MEMBERSHIP
Volunteer to help out at Mahavidya Siberians this year!
All Volunteer positions will be guided by our Husky Care Specialist and/or Founder.
VOLUNTEER POSITIONS ***STARTING IN MARCH*** FOR 2024
Full Season Availability = Part Time Flexible Schedule | Some weeks on, some weeks off | Generally available as needed 1-2 days a week | 3-6 hrs hours a day | 3-12 hrs a week
Skills and applications may include: food prep, feeding, purchases/delivery/ receipts for food and supplies, husky washing and basic grooming, general space cleaning, poop cleaning, refreshing supplies and environment, taking huskies on walks, scheduling, watching over and providing loving attention and interactive day care.
Role or Project Specific = For a specific role or time frame. For example to fulfill a project goal, such as taking each husky on a dedicated walk (or short nearby hike if inspired) — or— to provide specific care for individuals or the pack during a local event such as Husky Time.
On-Call = As needed. We will keep your contact in our ‘active’ roster and reach out in advance based on your skills and interests per the needs of the pack.
